This early Robinsons Place Tacloban in Marasbaras ushered in the joyous season of Christmas with the lighting of its 16-foot-tall Christmas Tree on Wednesday, October 18, at the mall’s expansion activity area.

Joining the event were City Councilor Christopher Randy Esperas, who represented Mayor Alfred Romualdez, and Acting City Tourism Officer Malu Tabao.

As part of the corporate social responsibility of the mall, the lighting ceremony benefitted the children of the SOS Village, who received school supplies during the event from different corporate sponsors.

Proceeds from the Christmas decorations crafted by the children will also benefit programs of the non-government organization for the kids.

Other highlights of the ceremony include the song number of the SOS Foundation Kids, the Mascots Dance Number, and a song rendition from the Himig Christo Chorale.

Robinsons Mall officials present included Operations Director Allan Armamento and Regional Operations Manager Jennifer Puno. Village director Lea Bateo represented the SOS Foundation Tacloban.
