In line with the aim of Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez to see youth services and involvement grow in Tacloban, a Community Youth Organizing activity has been rolled out by the local government. For the day (September 17), the City Youth Development Office (CYDO)—the strengthening arm of the youth sector, headed their way to Brgy. 83-C Taguictik in San Jose to conduct an orientation on the array of programs and services the youngsters can avail.
An election of officers for the ‘I Love Tacloban Youth’ organization in the community was also highlighted; as part of Mayor Romualdez’s priority programs for the youth—for them to become powerful partners in shaping the future of the city. To date, out of 138 barangays, CYDO already covered Area 9, and the said community (Brgy 83-C), adding up to the list, will be the 12th barangay to be visited by their team in Area 3.
