VACCINATION ON THE GO
One of the city’s oldest COVID-19 vaccine recipients got inoculated on Monday (May 24) during the start of vaccination in Tacloban North.
Afrodecia Añover Baltazar, 92, a resident of Brgy. 55 El Reposo, was accompanied by her children as she lined up to get the COVID-19 jab in one of the classrooms in Northern Tacloban City National High School (NTCNHS), the vaccination hub identified by the City Health Office.
Despite the distance going to the site and her age, Baltazar, according to her children, was much willing to get the COVID jab for her protection against the severe effect of the virus.
Baltazar was given the AstraZeneca shot and her next dose will be on July 19.
NTCNHS is open until tomorrow, May 25, and will be catering to approximately 1,200 eligible citizens from the 8 barangays namely; Suhi, Tagpuro, Cabalawan, Camansihay, Sta. Elena, Old, and New Kawayan, Ridgeview as well as some areas in the city proper.
Aside from the said site, vaccination for senior citizens, individuals with comorbidities, and frontliners, who are scheduled to receive their second dose of AstraZeneca, continue in 3rd level of Savemore Tacloban and will be operating until Wednesday (May 26).
