November 21, 2019 No Comments on Turnover Ceremony of Institutional Partnership Program AssistanceThe Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office on Thursday handed some 2.89 Million worth of financial assistance to several institutions in Eastern Visayas in a ceremony held at Patio Victoria, San Jose Tacloban City.
The turnover ceremony of Institutional Partnership Program Assistance was graced by Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez along with PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan Garma, Assistant General Manager Arturo O. Gabrieles and Assistant GMfor the Charity Sector Larry R. Cedro.
Recipients of the PCSO assistance were SOS Childrens Village Calbayog, Inc. which received cash assistance of Php 1, 029,000.00, Western Samar Development Foundation, Inc. which got Php 985,500.00 and the Orphanage of the Virgin of Guadalupe Foundation, Inc. which received Php 876, 000.00.
In a message, the Mayor lauded the charitable works of the PCSO and assured the agency that any assistance they give to the City will be used wisely.
On the other hand, Garma said that the PCSO contributes some Php 454,000 worth of assistance a day to the Malasakit Center in Tacloban City; and gives funding for Social Services of the local government and other institutions.
The induction of the Eastern Visayas Association of Lotto Agents (EVALA) coincided with the event.
