January 11, 2022 No Comments on TUPAD beneficiaries receive orientationAbout 109 Taclobanons, the initial beneficiaries of this year’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, gathered on Tuesday (January 11) for an orientation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards at the CEO Gym.
The said orientation, set by the City Government of Tacloban under Mayor Alfred Romualdez thru its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Department of Labor and Employment, was part of the pre-implementation phase of the TUPAD program before said beneficiaries will be deployed to their respective areas of assignment.
Six areas namely barangays 108, 57, 43-B, 89, 25, 36, including City COOP will be the assigned areas of said worker-beneficiaries where they will engage in short-term community work to provide them with income and will work for 10 days receiving PHP 325.00 as daily wage rate.
Prior to the actual engagement, TUPAD beneficiaries were provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of long-sleeved shirts, hats, facemasks, and soap.
