Tacloban New Bus Terminal building is another vaccination site in the city
Tacloban New Bus Terminal Building has been added to the list of the official vaccination hubs in the city. Starting Monday, October 25, 2021, said site will serve more Taclobanons, including 4P’s beneficiaries from Anibong and Abucay districts as among the priorities to get the jab there.
Mayor Alfred Romualdez, who has been appealing for the cooperation of everyone as the City Government pushes for herd immunity soon, conducted an ocular inspection at the new site yesterday, October 22, to ensure its readiness by Monday. Joining him during the inspection were CHO Chief Dr. Gloria Fabrigas, TCH Chief Dr. Joedina Gumagay, CMO Chief-of-Staff Atty. Jojo Lacanilao, CGSO Head Engr. Leo Parado, and TNBT Head Nolie Naval.
Tacloban, along with other HUCs in the country, having been chosen by the National Government to advance its vaccination rollout, is working double-time towards hitting 70% of the projected population which is 185,939, the estimated number for the community to achieve herd immunity. As of October 22, 2021, the City Health Office has recorded 85,103 inoculated Taclobanons.
