Representatives from the Office of the City Mayor checks downtown area’s response to the city government’s imposed health standards.
Representatives from the Office of the City Mayor, Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD), and the City Information Office (CIO) visited some establishments yesterday afternoon at the downtown area to check on their response to the city government’s intensified imposition of the minimum health standards. As instructed by Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez, the team talked to the owners/family about how the City Government of Tacloban could improve its services in assisting the business establishments amidst the COVID-19 cases spike in the city.Present during the said inspection were Executive Assistants Atty. Jojo Lacanilao and Atty. Christian de Dios from the City Mayor’s Office, BPLD Department Head Ms. Gemafiel Gaspay, and CIO Department Head Ms. Grace V. Sudario- Gozo.Meantime, Mayor Alfred issued Executive Order No. 2020-06-24 yesterday regulating business operations and intensifying the imposition of minimum health standards to mitigate the further spread of Covid-19 in Tacloban City which takes effect today, June 8, 2021.
