Ahead of the “Kasalang Bayan” (Mass Wedding Ceremony) tomorrow, couples who qualified for the City Government Program attend a Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling Activity at the Tacloban City Training Center.

Conducted by the City Population Office, in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office and Non-Government Organization Oxfam, the activity had topics on “Marriage and Relationships” and “Responsible Parenthood.”

According to the City Civil Registrar’s Office, Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling is “pre-requisite” activity for would-be spouses to help ensure a strong and healthy married life.

Around 123 couples will tie the knot at the Tacloban City Convention Center on Friday, March 1, 2019, as part of the free Mass Wedding Program of the City Government. Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez will officiate the civil wedding which will coincide with the launching of the #iLabaYu advocacy campaign of Oxfam with Celebrity Influencer Camille Prats./with a report from D.
