NO “PABAHAY” BENEFICIARY LEFT BEHIND
October 14, 2021 No Comments on NO “PABAHAY” BENEFICIARY LEFT BEHINDAnother successful program was held at St. Francis Village, as 356 “Pabahay” beneficiaries received their long-awaited land titles for the raffle draw of housing units this afternoon, October 14, 2021.
Of this number, exactly 272 housing recipients were given their property titles for the Villa Sofia resettlement site.
While 11 beneficiaries of Villa Diana; North Hill Arbours 1 (29); North Hill Arbours 2 (27); and (18) for the host community–St. Francis Village, have finally received their certificate of land titles, after failing to show up from their respective schedules set by the National Housing Authority and TACLOBAN City Housing & Community Development Office.
Said housing units will live up to its name of “Yolanda ‘Pabahay’ Housing Project” given that these are now situated in safer grounds—north part of Tacloban and far away from danger zones such as the coastal barangays where weather-related shocks can inflict life-threatening conditions like what happened almost 8 years ago.
Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez graced said program together with former Mayor Cristina Romualdez; City Councilor Aimee Grafil, committee chair on Urban Poor, Housing and Human Resettlement; and Hiraya Foundation President Raymund Romualdez with the former and latter giving brief speeches, and the local chief executive, himself, calling the names of those to be awarded their property titles.
This program was made possible by the City Government of Tacloban thru CHCDO in coordination with NHA.
