January 30, 2020 No Comments on New Years Call 2020The Department of Interior and Local Government gathered the 138 barangay chairpersons in the City during the traditional ‘New Year’s Call’ held on Thursday, January 30.
The half-day activity, in partnership with the City Government of Tacloban and Liga ng mga Barangay, intends to discuss urgent concerns for this year, 2020.
Among the matters discussed were the road clearing operation in the barangays, the update of novel coronavirus (nCoV) and status of dengue in the City, and the start of Solid Waste Management implementation on February 1.
The awarding of the top 3 performing barangays in each area, highlighted the said activity.
Present also during the meeting was Vice Mayor Jerry ‘Sambo’ Yaokasin’, together with City Councilor Aimee Grafil and ABC President Eden Chua Pineda. Acting City Health Officer Dr. Gloria Fabrigas along with CENRO and CDRRMO Heads Jonathan Hijada and Ildebrandro Bernadas were also in attendance.
