March 15, 2019 No Comments on Mayor’s Employment Generation Activity (MEGA) Job Fair 2019Jobseekers crowded the Tacloban City Convention Center (Astrodome) as the City Government of Tacloban through Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment spearheaded the Mayor’s Employment Generation Activity (MEGA) Job Fair 2019 on Friday, March 15.
A total of 33 local establishments and 11 Overseas Employment Agencies participated with more than 6,000 job offerings.
According to the Public Employment Service Office, as of 1:00 pm 5 job seekers were hired on the spot.
The “Mega Job Fair 2019” was held in cooperation with the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) Leyte, Philhealth, Philippine Regulation Commission, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, SSS, and TESDA and Plan International./with a report from D. Abarquez/CIO
