November 27, 2019 No Comments on LOOK:As part of the efforts of the Local Government of Tacloban to capacitate Persons with Disability (PWDs) with the right skills to be independent and have a sustainable means of income, a seminar on Independence and sustainable entrepreneurship commenced on Wednesday at the Tacloban City Training Center conducted by People Systems Consultancy (PSC) in coordination with the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and sponsored by Maybank Foundation.
Some 50 PWDs from the different barangays in Tacloban City, attended the three-day seminar dubbed “Reach Independence and Sustainable Entrepreneurship” (R.I.S.E).
Speakers from People Systems consultancy, namely Kim Magdaong, Project Coordinator, Nikka Ylyssa, Project Executive/Trainer and Abdul Haiy Sali, Project Executive will discuss to the participants the different modules on “Profiling Strengths”, “Sales Differentiation and Value Creation”, “Branding with a Customer Focus, “Market Leadership” and “Financial Management,” among others.
A similar capacity-building activity was conducted by the non-government organization last August of 2018 and January of this year benefiting over a hundred PWDs in Tacloban.
PSC is a multi-national social enterprise that works to eradicate poverty, raise the income of underprivileged communities and achieve financial inclusion through entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs.
