November 22, 2019 No Comments on LOOK:To discuss the implementing rules and regulations for the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, the local government through the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) had a dialogue with some of the elderly here on Friday, November 22.
Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez graced the event where he delivered an inspirational message and reminded the senior citizens of their rights and privileges.
In his speech, the Mayor mentioned prioritizing the welfare of the said elderlies, where he announced during the meeting that a dialysis center will soon to rise in Tacloban City Hospital.
Meantime, his son Raymund Romualdez was also present during the meeting along with OSCA Head Rodrigo Cinco, City Councilor Evangeline Esperas and other stakeholders.
The Republic Act 9994 or also known as the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, is an act granting additional benefits and privileges to senior citizens. Among those are their grant of 20% discount and Value Added Tax (VAT) exemption.
