December 13, 2019 No Comments on Retirees, Service Awardees honored in City Gov’t Recognition ProgramTACLOBAN CITY (CIO) — As a tribute for their long years of public service, dedication and hard work, 16 Retirees and 20 Loyalty Service Awardees were honored today, December 13 during the Salamat-Mabuhay Recognition Rites held at Tacloban City Training Center.
Acting Human Resources Management and Development Office (HRMDO) Head Melanie De Leon, in her message, thanked the honorees for their invaluable contribution to the City Government and for giving their best in serving the people of Tacloban.
On behalf of Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez, City Administrator Atty. Ann Carba together with the local executive’s son Raymund Romuldez led in the distribution of certificates, tokens, cash, and gift items to the said retirees and awardees.
The loyalty awardees were divided into six categories depending on the number of years that they served in the City Government.
One of the loyalty awardees was Ireneo A. Morrero from the City General Services Office who received a loyalty bracelet for his 40 years of service.
On the other hand, the 20 retirees received 5,000 pesos cash and gift items from the local government.
Among the employees who have retired for the period July to December of this year are Emma Ayuste, Dominador Cuevas, Jovito Adarne Jr., Danilo Fuentabella, Ma. Margie Gavane, Antonio Quisay, Aurelia Violeta, Alily Romo, Leonora Maano, Lorenzo Pedrosa III, Erlinda Guiang, Nilda Cantay, Nolasco De Paz, Danilo Ronda, Wenifredo Rivas, and Sarah Montano.
The program, organized by HRMDO, aims to give importance and gratitude to the longest-serving and retired employees for without them the local government will not be able to deliver effective and efficient services to Taclobanons.- C. Merin/CIO
