Inauguration of Community Evacuation Center in Brgy. Sta. Elena
March 22, 2019 No Comments on Inauguration of Community Evacuation Center in Brgy. Sta. ElenaA multi-purpose building that will serve as a community evacuation center was inaugurated in Barangay Sta. Elena, Tacloban City by the Pacific Partnership (PP) Mission on Friday, March 22, 2019.
The 546th Engineering Construction Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the US Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 constructed the building and made other structural improvements in the barangay.
Work on the one story and two-room building started on February 18 and was completed on March 17, 2019.
Present during the inauguration were PP Mission Commander Capt. Randy Van Rossum, PP Deputy Commander Col. Louell Tan of the Philippine Army and the local officials of Brgy. 107 led by Barangay Chairperson Letecia Olino.
