TACLOBAN CITY (CIO 1/13/2020) — Gun owners and holders in Tacloban City can now renew or apply for their License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), without having to go to the Police Regional Office and National Headquarters in Camp Crame as the Regional Civil Security Unit (RCSU) of the Police Regional Office 8 in cooperation with the City Government through the leadership of Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez is set to hold a caravan in Tacloban City this coming January 22 to 24, 2020.

Among the activities of the three-day caravan scheduled to be held at the City Engineer’s Office (CEO) Gym from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, are Online Application, Neuro-psychiatric Exam, Drug Test, Firearms Registration and provisional LTOPF.

The local government said it is supporting the LTOPF caravan to promote security, peace, and order through responsible gun ownership in the City.

Hereunder are the requirements for the LTOPF:

LTOPF (License To Own and Possess Firearms) Requirements:

-Application Form (2 copies) – notarized
-2 Valid Government ID Cards
-Drug Test Result with Official Receipt
-Validated GSRGO Certificate with Official Receipt
-NBI Clearance with Official Receipt
-Neuro-Psych Clearance with Official Receipt
-PSA Birth Certificate w/ OR or Passport (colored photocopy)
-Police Clearance with Official Receipt
-Proof of Billing or Brgy. Clearance with Official Receipt
-Proof of Income

Additional Requirements for Sports Shooter:

-Certificate of Membership form the Gun Club
-Proof of Income

For Government Employee/Government Official:
-Appointing Order – Certified true copy from issuing office

For Elected Official
-Oath of Office – Certified true copy from issuing office

For Retired Government Employee/Government Official
-Retirement Order – Certified true copy from issuing office

Businessman
-DTI/Business Permit – Certified true copy from issuing office

Private Employee: Certificate of Employment

Others: Certificate of Bank Deposit

It is advised that applicants bring with them the original copies of the requirements.
