DIM STREETS NO MORE FOR CALANIPAWAN AS ILLUMINATION IS IN PROGRESS
October 3, 2023 No Comments on DIM STREETS NO MORE FOR CALANIPAWAN AS ILLUMINATION IS IN PROGRESSA brighter and safer Calanipawan Road at night is what the Installation of Solar LED Light project brings to motorists, pedestrians, and particularly to the locals and those establishments situated in the area. The project under the DPWH Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) which amounted to P21,028,700.92 covered the installation of 147 LED lights from Calanipawan Road corner Real St. (Tingog Office area) stretching to the corner of Caibaan Street.
According to Mark Anthony Guarino of MWJ Construction, the project was set to be completed last September 25, 2023, but due to some problems with permissions from the residents including occupants in the establishments along Calanipawan, there has been a little delay in the installation of the posts. However, Guarino says, that with only 15 lights left to be installed, he is confident that the said project will be finished this week.
With the solar illumination of Magsaysay Boulevard and some streets of Tacloban City including Bypass Road, Youngfield-Paterno area, and Maharlika Avenue (Palo Boundary to Rotonda), the Calanipawan illumination project will be a significant addition to the city’s security and safety, especially that there are schools in the area.
