DILG TACLOBAN CONDUCTS KNOWLEDGE FORUM ON GOOD GOVERNANCE
Department of Interior and Local Government-Tacloban City through the headship of its City Director, Engr. Vicitacion V. Giva hosted a knowledge forum participated by the city’s Multi-Stakeholders’ Advisory Council (MSAC) on October 10, 2023.
The event held at the Boy Scout of the Philippines in Magsaysay Boulevard, this city, was dubbed “Pagkaurusa Para Hin Mabaskog ngan Maanyo’s Nga Tacloban: Knowledge Forum on Good Governance that highlighted the best practices of the member agencies with worth replicating strategies, initiatives, and contributions that have significantly provided impact to its target clientele.
To promote “Mabaskog nga Tacloban,” the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tacloban City Fire Station, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male Dormitory, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Female Dormitory, Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO), and Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA)Tacloban City showcased each of their best practices.
Meanwhile, Department of Education (DepEd) Tacloban City Division, Leyte Normal University (LNU), and City Government presented each of their programs and projects that paved the way for the advancement of “Maanyag nga Tacloban.”
As the forum was primarily aimed at promoting the principles of the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) on multi-participation, knowledge management, and convergence, LGRRC Coordinator Dr. Maridel B. Burgos discussed the “LGRRC of Tacloban in a Glimpse.”
Meantime, DILG RO8 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, CESO III came to support and grace the said event. Representing City Mayor Alfred Romualdez was Councilor Leo Bahin.
With the persistent efforts of MSAC in upholding the identity of the city’s LGRRC on “Mabaskog nga Syudad, Maanyag nga Tacloban,” DILG Tacloban is looking forward that this will result in a more inclusive approach to heighten public awareness and delivery of efficient public service.
