October 14, 2021 No Comments on CITY-WIDE DHC VAXTo fast-track the ongoing vaccination against COVID19 and gradually achieve population protection, the city government of Tacloban started bringing the inoculation drive to its health centers.
A total of 8 district health centers (DHCs) such as Sagkahan, Diit, Abucay, Tacloban North GMA Health Center, New Kawayan, San Jose, V&G, and the City Health Office started administering #COVID19 jabs for those priority groups that have been registered and scheduled thru the online vaccination application (www.safecity.tacloban.gov.ph).
Around 320 individuals are targeted to get their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine for each district for the day, October 14. This move is part of the continuing efforts to bring anti-COVID19 shots nearer to residents, especially in hard-to-reach barangays in the northern part of the city.
This, after the Diit DHC brought the inoculation activity at barangay Paglaum, one of the hardest to reach communities located 15.3 kilometers away from the city’s business district. Apart from getting an early Christmas gift in a form of a jab, the city likewise provided government services and assistance closer to the families in the barangay.
Other vaccination venues for the city-wide DHC #resbakuna drive include Robinsons Place Tacloban in Marasbaras for San Jose and V&G clientele; Robinsons North for Abucay; USAID Building for CHO’s covered villages; New Kawayan covered court; Magallanes Public Health Market for Sagkahan and North Villages Family Park covered court for GMA Health Center clients.
Meantime, though more than 70 thousand lives are now completely protected against the virus, the LGU thru the City Health Office stressed the importance of maintaining discipline and continuing to adhere to the safety protocols to help contain the unwanted surge of cases while it proceeds with the vaccination campaign.
