Romualdez received a Certificate of Recognition from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for passing 5 out of 7 Local Governance Assessment Areas of the 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
During the 2018 SGLG, the City passed under the areas of Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Peace and Order, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness and Tourism, Culture and the Arts.
The City Government is hopeful that it will get the seal this year.
