As the Safety Seal Certification Program validation rolls in the different LGUs, the Tacloban DILG Inspection Certification Team composed of directors and representatives from the Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO), Tacloban City Fire Station (TCFS), and DILG- Tacloban hailed Barangay 72 Multi-Purpose Hall COMPLIANT of all the indicators reflected in the Covid-19 Safety Seal Checklist. This after the inspection and validation conducted by the composite team yesterday, August 19, 2021, in reference to the DOLE-DOH-DILG-DOT-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01, series of 2021 and DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-053.

As Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez works hard for Tacloban to embrace the total reopening of economy, this recognition to Brgy. 72 Multi-Purpose Hall as the first government building/establishment to be accorded with the Safety Seal Certification in the city highlights the significant role of barangay management in keeping the whole city compliant of the Covid-19 minimum health and safety standard.

“The Safety Seal Certification Program is there to promote the habit of strictly observing the minimum health standard in the different establishments, government or private, all over the city, ” says DILG Tacloban City Director Johannes “Doboy” Dorado while pointing out the need to stick to the Covid-19 health standard even without the ordinances fines and penalties.

Kudos to Brgy. 72 Punong Barangay Raul Asensi and his barangay officials for this well-deserved recognition.
