Barbeque, ukay-ukay (bado and sapatos), and rolling stores operators are seen setting up their stalls at 3:00 in the afternoon, ready for their customers who are usually in their peak by 5:00 PM. With Tacloban Supermarket Head Carlos Castello on top of everything, these business operators and market-goers are made to strictly observe minimum health protocols.
As Mayor Alfred Romualdez slowly opens Tacloban’s economy, more opportunities are made available for business and livelihood. With minimal daily charge from the City Government, these entrepreneurs are given the chance to have higher income, while the consuming public is given more options of cheaper deals.
