Fifteen Taclobanons showcased their cooking skills at the “Battle of the Cooks” held at the City Hall North Extension yesterday, October 30, 2021.

Organized by the Rotary Club of Tacloban in partnership with the City Government of Tacloban, the event which was sponsored by Fiesta Gas, enabled all the participants representing the different relocation sites to each take home a 2.7 kg. complete set of Petron LPG (Super Kalan type), apart from the P1,000 consolation price.

As Mayor Alfred Romualdez highly encourages more programs which strengthen skills and livelihood advancement in Tacloban North, the City Government partnering with private sectors and companies is seen to be a promising step towards economic and community growth. Along with the organizers and sponsor , the City Mayor is hopeful that said cooking show will bring in good possibilities to the winners and participants, and to the community as well.

Meanwhile, representative from Dreamville (CRS) outstood the rest and took the top prize amounting to P5,OOO; while SM Cares placed second (P3,000), and Pope Francis Village was the third placer (P2,000), as shared by Ms. Ruth Ramirez.
