Situated at Abucay, the said facility to accommodate COVID19 infected patients with mild to moderate symptoms will effectively free up hospital beds and not overwhelm the number of cases needing medical care.
Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez, who was grateful for the coordination between the national government to make said treatment and monitoring facility possible, led the cutting of the ribbon and received the symbolic key from Assistant Regional Director Rodolfo Antonio Albornoz. Acting City Health Officer Gloria Fabrigas and some city councilors joined the said ceremony.
Tacloban City is fortunate to be one of the recipients of the ITMF among the 6 provinces and city sees this as a manifestation of the convergence and strong determination of the government to serve the people amid this pandemic.
The ITMF, funded thru Bayanihan 2, will be operational in the soonest time possible.
