739 students and staff of LNU targeted for first dose of Moderna vaccine
October 27, 2021 No Comments on 739 students and staff of LNU targeted for first dose of Moderna vaccineAround 739 students and staff of the Leyte Normal University are targeted to receive the first dose of Moderna vaccine today, October 27, 2021. Waiting in queue at the ORC Building, the recipients presented their LNU ID and enrolment slip as part of the vaccination process which started at 8:00 AM.
The vaccination drive dubbed as “Pabakuna Na, Normalista!”– a collaborative effort between the LNU administration and the City Government of Tacloban, thru the Department of Health-EV, is an initiative done in preparation for the limited face-to-face classes which the government strongly considers once it is safer for the schools to do so. This move is also an augmentation to the city’s strengthened campaign to hit herd immunity.
“It’s a nice initiative for the administration, especially kan Dr. Aguirre, for agreeing with the CHO to have this kind of activity ha amon university, knowing that CHED is already planning to have the limited face-to-face classes. Ha amon ha Student Council, we’re really excited to see the students inside the campus. Pagyakan nga magkakamay-ada hin vaccination, we were really happy,” says Quennie Jean F. Urena, Student Council President.
Meanwhile, more college students have been receiving Covid-19 jabs at Robinsons Marasbaras in a vaccination rollout intended for said priority group since October 21 which will run until Friday, October 29, 2021.
