Personnel from business permits and Licenses Division (BPLD), Traffic Operation Management Enforcement and Control Office (TOMECO), and Tacloban City Police conducted the said inspection to ensure the safety of the commuters in this City.
BPLD Transport Section in-charge, Gerry Abilar, said that aside from flagging down those without pertinent documents, most violations involved the non-installation of plastic barriers for passengers inside the vehicles and failure to implement the COVID-19 safety protocols.
Due to the continuing threats posed by this pandemic, drivers and passengers must wear a facemask and faceshield to increase protection against the virus.
