December 6, 2019 No Comments on LOOK:To promote the rights and well-being of Persons with Disability (PWDs) in our society, the City Government of Tacloban under Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez gathered 60 PWDs in a forum held on Friday, December 6, as part of the celebration of International Day of PWD.Marie Nacino from the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Regional Office 8 was the resource speaker of the half-day forum organized by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO).
The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disability was proclaimed in 1992 by United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3 and through the Philippines issuance of Proclamation No. 1157 dated 16 October 2006.
