Around a 100 needy Taclobanons have already availed of the financial and medical assistance of the Mayor’s Social Action (MASA) Program, since it resumed its weekly ‘People’s Day’ last November 2022, an official disclosed.

The official also disclosed that there are still 50 pending requests for assistance that are still being validated by the office.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez personally attends the People’s Day every Wednesday and Thursday to speak with ordinary Taclobanons soliciting help from the City Government.

Those who want to avail of the monetary and medical assistance need only to submit photocopies of medical abstract, certificate of indigency, medical prescription and valid ID.

A staff from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) will conduct a validation and make a case study of the request.

Meanwhile, for Taclobanons who want to personally talk to Mayor Romualdez about their concerns, he needs to coordinate with the Barangay Affairs Office. The office will set the schedule with Mayor Romualdez.

Issues usually discussed by Taclobanons with Mayor Romualdez during the face-to-face meetings range from housing concerns, water and electric connections and drainage problems.
