WWF, BPI hold Climate Change Adaptation Workshop in Tacloban
TACLOBAN CITY – Stakeholders attended the Tacloban City Scenario Building Exercises for Climate Change Adaptation held last September 4 at Hotel Alejandro.
The whole-day gathering sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines – the World’s largest Conservation Organization and BPI Foundation, Inc., is part of the Business Risk Assessment and the Management of Climate Change Impacts Study being conducted in key cities in the country.
Among the topics discussed by resource persons from the WWF and BrainTrust, Inc. namely Moncini Hinay, Dr. Cielito Habito and Ella Antonio were: Driving Forces for Tacloban City’s Future, Working Out Uncertainties and Dualities and Identifying uncertainties and opposites and a presentation of Tacloban City Datasets.
As an output of the workshop, participants came up with scenario storylines that detail the impending threats of climate change in the City which were provided by inputs from the facilitators.
