The following war heroes were honored in the Veterans Day Program and each were given Php 5,000 cash gift and grocery goods courtesy of the City Government: Xerxes Abadiano, Jose Acedillo, Paulita Asis, Eduardo Bermudo, Pablito Candela, Aquilia Closa, Felicidad Lagarde, Teresa Malpas, Ramon Modina, Margarito Olguera, Epistemia Rama, Maxima Satorre, Rufino Sumayod, Remegia Tomol and Paciencia Tripoli.
Philippine Veterans Affairs Office Undersecretary Ernesto G. Carolina who was Guest of Honor during the event announced an upcoming pension increase and free medical benefits for war veterans. Vice-Mayor Jerry Yaokasin and other officials of the City Government were also in attendance.
