TACLOBAN CITY – “The house that fried chicken built” is now serving Taclobanons. The large food chain and well known chicken restaurant opened its first branch in Eastern Visayas at the Ground Floor Robinson’s Place Annex last Dec. 9, 2011.

The opening was graced by City Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez along with First Lady-Councilor Cristina G. Romualdez while Max proprietor Napoleon “Paul” Consebedo welcomed them in the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

In his speech, Mayor Romualdez welcomed Max’s to Tacloban, “Congratulations to Glenn (son of Max’s owner) and all the employees of Max’s chicken. Better late than never this 2011.” He also added, “This is really a milestone in terms of business growth here. You are now part of the growing economy of this city which, for the past  3 years, had an average of 1,200 new business establishments per year.”

Also present during the opening was Operations Director of Max’s group of companies- Ma. Consolacion Naniong, who thanked Mayor and the Taclobanons for welcoming Max’s with much enthusiasm in the city. “Thank you to our dear leaders in Tacloban. Your mere presence puts warmth in our hearts and I would also like to congratulate and thank Engr. Consebedo for bringing Max’s here. It is our vision in Max’s to be the most loved Filipino brand. And we are truly happy that this vision became a reality here in Tacloban.” she said.
