According to City Health Officer Jamie Opinion, Operation Tuli is a regular activity of the City Government through the CHO every Summer Season.  City Barangays are clustered into seven districts by the CHO and are visited on a  Friday for the free circumcision service, he added.  Free medicines will also be provided to those who will avail of the minor medical procedure.

This April the group made the rounds of Burayan Gym, Magallanes/Kadiwa, Sagkahan National High School and Tigbao-Diit Elementary School  and circumcised 455 Taclobanons.

Meantime, the CHO warned the susceptibility of the elderly and children to Heat Stroke this Summer Season due to intense heat.

Sixty years old and up and Children are mostly likely to contract heat stroke because of the summer season.  It is  advised that they stay indoors starting 10 am to 4 pm as this is the time which is hottest.

Also common during the summer season are communicable diseases like chicken pox and sore eyes because of the heat that is why it is important to be sensitive with your body, maintain proper hygiene and stay in a well-ventilated place.  Stay hydrated; drink 8-12 glasses daily and take vitamin supplementation advised the health office. – HENRY JAMES G.
