CLEP sponsors Seminar Workshop on Flair Bartending
TACLOBAN CITY (CIO) – Some 200 students underwent a free Seminar Workshop on Flair Bartending organized by the Comprehensive Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Program (CLEP) – a livelihood initiative of the City Government at the Tacloban City Training Center on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
The participants which came from nine local schools offering Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management Courses were taught Flair Bartending techniques to enhance their skills; as well as the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks by Cebu-based bartenders
Flair Bartending is a handy skill for those working in the hospitality industry because it is one way of entertaining guests and clientele with the use of bar tools like cocktail shakers and liquor bottles.
CLEP, popularly known as the Cristina’s Learn and Earn Program is a pet project of Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez which started in 2006. Starting with Cosmetology and Hair cutting as its pilot Courses; it has since expanded to include free courses on Bartending, Food Processing, Reflexology/Massage, Silk Screen Printing, and Dressmaking, and now conducts mobile classes in the Resettlement Areas in Tacloban North. – Henry James Roca
