City Councilor Cristina Visits Outreach Program at Brgy. Tagpuro
Tacloban City – A medical mission was held last January 27, 2015 at Brgy. Tagpuro, Tacloban City lead by Councilor Romualdez. The transitional shelter residents received free dental and medical check-up, and haircut services. There were also feeding of the malnourished children and late registration of live birth. A total of 67 households availed of the free services.
Julita Lima, the leader of the Tagpuro transitional shelters said that she was very thankful to Councilor Cristina because of the prompt response to their request for medical mission.
“ Ma’am Cristina immediately responded to our request that is why the people here in Brgy. Tagpuro are grateful to the Councilor and Mayor Romualdez.”
Councilor Romualdez assured the Brgy. Tagpuro constituents that the City Government of Tacloban is doing its best to transfer the residents into more comfortable shelters, “It is our hope that very soon you will all be moved to your permanent homes. Our Mayor is making sure that everything is set when you transfer. But for now let us take care of our health first,” she assured them all. (JESSEL O. QUITORIO)
