“Barangayan” serves 1,526 in North Resettlement Sites
TACLOBAN CITY – Some 1,526 resettled families in Ridgeview Park 1 and 2 in Cabalawan Tacloban City were recipients on Thursday, September 19 of the frontline services being offered by the Barangay Outreach Program of the City Government under Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez.
Doctors and medical personnel from the City Hospital and City Health Office held free medical consultations and likewise administered free tooth extraction, vaccines and dispensed free medicines to the residents of the two resettlement sites.
Among the other services delivered during the Barangayan is the assessment of residents for eligibility to services of the City Social Welfare and Development Office like assistance to PWDs and PhilHealth coverage. The City Veterinary Office also conducted house to house anti-rabies dog vaccinations and deworming.
A feeding program for malnourished kids and distribution of food packs to the resettled families also highlighted the activity. (H.J. Roca/CIO)
