TACLOBAN CITY — Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez gave instructions to all City Government Offices concerned to put up Assistance Centers in all six cemeteries in the City: El Reposo and Basper Public Cemeteries, Superior and Holy Cross Memorial Gardens, Leyte Catholic Cemetery and the Chinese Cemetery.
A water station will be set up in each AC and the following amenities: Rescue Units, Medical Persinnel, Police, Fire and TOMECO Personnel. The Tacloban City Rescue Unit (TACRU) will be assigned to the Basper Cemetery the Green Volunteers of the Leyte Chinese Chamber of Commerce to the Leyte Catholic Cemetery in Diit, the Bureau of Fire Protection to the Superior Memorial Gardens and the Tacloban Chinese Chamber of Commerce Volunteers to the Chinese Cemetery and the Delta Volunteers to the Holy Cross Memorial Park.
A command Center under the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Jobs Lagutan and Deputy City Administrator Adoracion Peregrino located at the City Mayor’s Boardroom in City Hall will be open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Friday, November 1 and on Saturday, November 2.
